GOL: The Second Largest In Brazilian Airline –In Less Than Nine Years!
GOL has transported more than 100 million passengers since its foundation. In 2007 GOL acquired the traditional brand VARIG in an attempt to enter into intercontinental flights. It suspended all long-haul operations a few months later, and in 2008 it expanded VARIG's SMILES program, registering six million people including GOL customers.
